BACKGROUND:
E. Vincent
Davis is a resident of Fayette, Jefferson County, Mississippi. He
graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1981 and thereafter
received his B.S. degree from Alcorn State University in Lorman,
Mississippi in 1985. In 1986, he entered law school at Mississippi
College School of Law in Jackson Mississippi where he received his Doctor of
Jurisprudence Degree in 1989. |

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Vincent began practicing law in 1989 in Natchez, Adams County,
Mississippi, maintaining a general law practice, which included but was
not limited to the areas of personal injury, product liability, insurance
bad faith claims, domestic relations, wills & estates, criminal defense,
property law, and bankruptcy. In 1992, he moved his practice to Fayette,
Mississippi, where it remained through December, 1994.
In January,
1995, Vincent was appointed Assistant District Attorney for the Office of
the District Attorney (6th Circuit Court District) in Natchez,
Mississippi, where he remained through December, 2001. As an Assistant
District Attorney, Vincent had in excess of sixty jury trials. In that
capacity, he also handled hundreds of other serious felony cases which
were resolved without the necessity of trial, in addition to representing
the State of Mississippi in civil forfeiture cases and other civil
proceedings in which the State was a party, served as Special Prosecutor
for the 14th Circuit District, Natchez Municipal Court, Adams County
Justice Court, Wilkinson County Justice Court, and Gloster Municipal
Court.
